Empuls Copilot is an AI-powered assistant — called Em — built directly into the Empuls dashboard. Open it in your tenant at https://<your-empuls-url>/home/assistant. Instead of navigating menus to complete tasks, you type a prompt in plain language and Em responds with the action, data, or guidance you need. Copilot works for everyone on the platform: employees, managers, and admins each see capabilities tailored to their role and permissions. Whether you want to recognize a colleague, check your team’s engagement trends, find out what you can redeem with your current points balance, or pull a budget report for the quarter — Copilot handles it through a single chat interface.

How to access Copilot

1

Open the left navigation panel

Look for Copilot in the left-hand navigation panel of the Empuls dashboard.
2

Open the chat window

Click Copilot to open the chat interface.
3

Type your prompt

Enter your question or request in natural language. Copilot responds with real-time suggestions, direct actions, or data based on your role.
You don’t need to use specific command syntax. Copilot understands conversational prompts — describe what you want to do in plain language and Em will interpret and act on it.

What Copilot can do

Copilot capabilities are scoped to your role. The same chat interface serves all users, but the actions available and data returned reflect your permissions on the platform.
As an employee, you can use Copilot to manage your recognition activity, explore your reward balance, and find colleagues. What you can do:
  • Nominate peers for awards or recognitions
  • Check what you can redeem with your current points balance
  • Search the employee directory for contact details or reporting structure
  • Celebrate moments — send birthday wishes, work anniversary messages, or welcome new joiners
  • Ask questions about how features work on the platform
Example prompts:
  • “Nominate Aditi for going the extra mile”
  • “What can I redeem with 2,500 points?”
  • “Find contact details of Brian from Sales”
  • “Who’s the manager for the Bangalore tech team?”
  • “Wish Raj happy birthday”

Why use Copilot

Navigating a full engagement platform can slow down the tasks you perform most often. Copilot removes that friction by letting you get things done through a conversation rather than a series of menu clicks. Key benefits:
  • Saves time — Complete common actions like sending recognitions or pulling reports in seconds
  • Reduces friction — New users can get started immediately without learning navigation patterns
  • Surfaces insights — Ask for engagement data in plain language without needing to configure a report manually
  • Boosts recognition participation — When recognizing a colleague is as easy as typing a sentence, it happens more often

Example use cases

Type a description of what the person did — for example, “Sarah led the client presentation and it went really well.” Em will suggest an appropriate award type and generate a draft recognition message you can edit before sending.
Ask Em directly: “Which of my team members haven’t received a recognition in the last 30 days?” Copilot returns a list based on current recognition data for your team.
Type “What can I redeem with my current points?” Copilot shows your balance and lists redemption options available in your region — gift cards, merchandise, experiences, and more.
As an admin, type “Show me Q2 budget usage by department.” Copilot pulls the data and presents it in the chat without requiring you to navigate to the reports section manually.
Type “Wish Priya on her work anniversary.” Em drafts a warm, personalized message that you can review and post to the Wishboard in one click.

Tips for better prompts

  • Be specific about the person or timeframe“Show recognitions for the engineering team in March” returns more useful data than “Show recognitions”.
  • Describe the outcome you want“Help me write a recognition for Jamie’s project delivery” produces better results than “Write something nice”.
  • Ask follow-up questions — If the first response isn’t exactly what you needed, refine your prompt. Copilot maintains context within the conversation.
Copilot’s responses are based on your role and the data your account has access to. Employees cannot access other users’ data or admin-level reports through Copilot.
