Festive gifts let you run holiday and seasonal gifting campaigns — Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Eid, Founder’s Day, work-from-anywhere week — without manually sending a gift to each employee. You define the catalog, the audience, and the window; Empuls handles the rest. Employees claim their gift from a curated catalog during the window. Open the festive gifts hub in your tenant at https://<your-empuls-url>/home/festive-gift-ideas.

Before you start

  • You must be a Super Admin or have Gift Admin permission.
  • Confirm budget availability with finance — festive campaigns are typically larger than individual recognition.
  • Decide whether the campaign is open to everyone, a specific audience filter, or a custom list.

How festive gifts work

You create a campaign

Name the campaign (e.g., “Diwali 2026”), set the campaign window, pick the audience, and curate the catalog of gift options.

Empuls notifies eligible employees

On the campaign start date, eligible employees get an in-app, email, and (where configured) Slack/Teams notification with a link to choose their gift.

Employees claim their gift

Employees pick one from the curated catalog within the window. See festive gifts (employee) for the receiver experience.

Fulfillment runs in the background

Digital gifts (gift cards) deliver instantly. Physical gifts queue for fulfillment by the Empuls supply chain partner.

You track claim rates

The campaign dashboard shows: total eligible, claims received, claims in flight, claims completed. Send reminders to non-claimers.

Create a campaign

Open Festive gifts

Navigate to Admin Hub → Gifts → Festive gifts, or open https://<your-empuls-url>/home/festive-gift-ideas.

Click Create new campaign

The campaign builder opens.

Name and describe the campaign

Add a campaign name, internal description, and the message employees see when they receive the gift notification.

Set the window

Pick start and end dates. Empuls sends the initial invite on the start date. Employees can claim any time within the window.

Pick the audience

Default is Everyone. Filter by department, location, grade, or upload a custom user list. Audience can be edited later up until the start date.

Curate the catalog

Add gift options from the Empuls product catalog. Options can mix gift cards, physical merchandise, charitable donations, and experiences. Set a per-option point or monetary value.

Review and launch

Review the summary. Click Schedule to go live on the start date, or Launch now to start immediately.

Manage an active campaign

The active campaign list at https://<your-empuls-url>/home/festive-gifting/active shows every running campaign. Click into one to:
  • See real-time claim stats.
  • Send a reminder to non-claimers.
  • Extend the window (additive only — you can’t shorten while live).
  • Pause the campaign (employees can’t claim new gifts but in-flight orders complete).
  • Cancel (rare — voids the campaign; pending orders are reversed where possible).

Festive gift ideas library

The Festive Gift Ideas section is a curated library of recommended catalog mixes per occasion (Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Eid, etc.). Use it as a starting point and customize from there.

Limits and gotchas

  • Festive campaigns are independent of reward points — they don’t draw from the redemption wallet. Set up a dedicated budget if you want them to.
  • Physical gift fulfillment has lead time. Plan campaign windows accordingly (typically 4–6 weeks before the occasion).
  • Once an employee claims, the choice is final — they can’t switch to a different option later in the window.
  • Audience changes after launch only add new employees; you can’t shrink an audience while a campaign is live.
