# Fitness Challenges
> Set up and run employee fitness challenges to promote wellbeing and reward participation.
## Steps
### Admin: Launching a Challenge
Go to the Fitness Challenges admin settings. You'll see predefined challenge configurations including Stepathon, 5K and 10K runs, and more.
Click **Enable** on the challenge you want to launch. Review the challenge details and **assign rewards** to be issued to winners.
Click **Enable Challenge** to make it live. Employees will be notified through the platform.
Admins can monitor participant activities, achievements, and scores. Distribute rewards to winners based on the leaderboard.
### Employee: Participating in a Challenge
Go to the **Fitness Challenges** menu in the Empuls app. You'll see challenges you can join or, if already participating, view the leaderboard.
Joining is primarily done via the **Empuls mobile app** since fitness wearables sync with mobile devices. Open the Challenges section, select the challenge, and click **Join**.
You'll be prompted to grant permission to sync your fitness wearable. Once permission is granted, you're automatically enrolled and your steps/activity will be tracked.
View your position on the leaderboard, see past champions, and check the rewards available at each milestone. Rewards are earned when you reach defined milestones.
