# Types of surveys

> Learn about the different survey types available on Empuls — pulse, eNPS, lifecycle, and more.

Empuls surveys are an efficient tool enabling you to create and manage surveys effortlessly, gather employee feedback, and provide valuable insights. It is perfect for measuring employee engagement and workplace experience.

## How surveys are classified on Empuls

On Empuls, we have multiple surveys with numerous minor variations. To keep things simple, surveys are classified based on:

* When the survey is being run
* Why the survey is being run

## 1. Measure engagement with employee engagement surveys

### a) eNPS

Measure employee loyalty with the Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), a survey consisting of a single question.

You receive a breakdown of:

* Promoters
* Passives
* Detractors
* Company eNPS score

It helps you understand employee sentiment with just one question.

### b) Pulse surveys

The Pulse Survey comprises 11–15 questions to evaluate:

* Employee attrition
* Motivation
* Team performance
* Happiness

Both eNPS and pulse surveys can be run once every quarter.
